DEADLINE APPROACHES!

Lessons, exercises, and feedback for writers of novels, memoirs, short stories, personal essays, short shorts, hybrid prose forms, and more. This class is appropriate for writers just voyaging out into writing, but will also help advanced writers move forward with their projects. To enroll, send a note by email explaining why you think this would be a good class for you to MeredithSueWillis@gmail.com. If you are accepted, you will receive the next step.
The first Prose Narrative session goes up January 8, 2008. There are four sessions. For information about how an online class operates, see online classes . The class is geared especially for people writing prose narratives, and it welcomes new students and students who have taken Meredith Sue Willis's classes in the past.
The class focuses on what is common to all types of creative prose narrative.  There will be personalized feedback from the teacher, who is the author of more than a dozen published books.  She will read up to 1000 words from each student each week. Each session will consist of short written lectures with writing assignments that can be used to draft new material or to rework and expand material you have already written. These assignments will be on the web and e-mailed. Assignments are emailed to the teacher for response.  All communication will be by email and online. For the complete schedule, see below.
The class costs $200, payable in advance. The fee must be received by January 7, 2008. This means you must apply, be accepted, and send your fee by US Postal Service so that it arrives by January 7, 2008. You will be e-mailed the address for mailing the check via the USPS. Your canceled check is your receipt, and you will receive an email confirming your place in the class.
For specific queries, e-mail Meredith Sue Willis at MeredithSueWillis@gmail.com.
The small print:
Enrollment is extremely limited as the teacher is primarily a working writer. No applications will be accepted after January 7, 2008, and the class will close earlier if it fills up. If the class closes, a notice will be posted here and at Http://www.meredithsuewillis.com. You are not enrolled until payment has been received. There are no cash refunds.

The complete schedule for Prose Narrative January 2008 (subject to change) is as follows:
  • Tuesday January 8, 2008 – Session One goes up
Monday, January 14, 2008 Midnight– Session One homework due
