Jump Start Your Novel
Is Now Closed--

Check here for upcoming online writing classes
with Meredith Sue Willis

A few of the Great ones...Can you name them? See below.

Have you run out of energy on the novel you’ve been writing? Are you carrying around an idea for a novel that never actually gets drafted?
This three session, early spring online class offers exercises and feedback on your work from the teacher aimed at getting you started or restarted on your novel. (This will work for a memoir or other prose narrative too). To enroll, send a note by email explaining why you think this would be a good class for you to MeredithSueWillis@gmail.com. If you are accepted, you will be sent the next step.
The first session goes online (and is emailed) on March 20, 2007. There are three sessions. For information about how an online class operates, see online classes .
This class will focus on getting your novel moving forward.  There will be personalized feedback from the teacher, who is the author of more than a dozen published books and the originator of "Beginning Your Novel" at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. She will read up to 1000 words from each student each week. Each session will consist of short written lectures with exercises and writing assignments that can be used to draft new material or to rework and expand material you have already written.  All communication will be by email and online. For the complete schedule, see below.
The class costs $150, payable in advance. The fee must be received by March 19, 2007. This means you must apply, be accepted, and send your fee by US Postal Service so that it arrives by March 19, 2007. You will be e-mailed where to mail the check after you are accepted. Your canceled check is your receipt, and you will receive an email confirming your place in the class and telling you next steps.
For inquiries, e-mail Meredith Sue Willis at MeredithSueWillis@gmail.com.
The small red print:
Enrollment is extremely limited as the teacher is primarily a working writer. No applications will be accepted after March 20, 2007. The class will close earlier if it fills up. If the class closes, a notice will be posted here and at Http://www.meredithsuewillis.com. You are not enrolled until payment has been received. There are no cash refunds.

The complete schedule for Jump Start Your Novel 2007 (subject to change) is as follows:
  • Tuesday March 20, 2007 – Session One goes up
Monday, March 26, 2007 Midnight– Session One homework due
  • Tuesday March 27, 2007 – Session Two goes up
Monday, April 2, 2007 Midnight– Session Two homework due
  • Tuesday April 3, 2007 – Session Three goes up
Monday, April 9, 2007 Midnight– SessionThree homework due

I look forward to hearing from you!
